Stephen's Bio
Stephen, MSc, FCIM, CMktr is Vice President of Marketing and Product Development at W. L. Gore & Associates, a global leader in medical device and healthcare solutions. With over 30 years of experience spanning marketing, business development, and front-end innovation, he has worked across multiple therapeutic and diagnostic areas, including cardiac surgery, congenital heart disease, cardiovascular, cardiometabolic, plastic reconstructive surgery, biotechnology, in vitro diagnostics, and digital health.
A Chartered Marketer, Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Six Sigma Certified Professional, and Stanford Executive Biodesign alumnus, Stephen is widely recognized for driving innovation and building category leadership.
At Gore, he leads global innovation, new product development, and marketing within Cardiac Surgery and Congenital Heart Disease, while also shaping new business opportunities through Gore technology and strategic collaborations. His mission is to deliver innovative and sustainable clinical solutions that address unmet needs, improve outcomes, and enhance quality of life for patients and families worldwide.
Outside of work, Stephen enjoys exploring travel and diverse cuisines—particularly in Scottsdale’s Old Town, San Diego’s Gaslamp District and La Jolla, California. He is an avid traveler who immerses himself in the history, culture, and hospitality of coastal Mediterranean countries and beyond.
Stephen is also a licensed amateur radio operator (W6SKR) with a General Class License, operating primarily from his home in Verrado, Buckeye, AZ, portable from Flagstaff AZ and occasionally from the San Diego Bay area when visiting Southern California.

With a strong interest in digital modes, Stephen operates D-STAR, JT65, and PSK31 using Ham Radio Deluxe DM-780 software, powered by a TigerTronics SignalLink USB interface.
Stephenis a member of the Arizona Repeater Association (ARA), Thunderbird Amateur Radio Club (TBARC), San Diego Repeater Association (SANDRA), and holds Memberships with the ARRL, RSGB, AMSAT, and QRZ.com.e Arizona Repeater Association (ARA) repeaters across Buckeye, Flagstaff, Phoenix, and Scottsdale.
